Introducing the May Queen
On May Day 2011, Stately Homes of England and Hunt Emerson release the single to end all singles.
Josephine, a song by John Otway, is an epic tale of innocence lost set on a village green during traditional revels.
Dripping with pagan passions, Josephine comes in a variety of mixes and several desirable editions from the humble free download to sumptuously-bound bespoke gallery class multiple.
Click on the cover art below and listen to or download the short version of Josephine, the other six mixes will be unleashed on May 1.
We are now offering pre-ordering on the first Deluxe edition which will be published in an edition of TEN, priced at £100.
This edition includes one of ten watercolour sketches by Hunt Emerson - the original artwork, not a print - and four high quality, A3 frameable prints, signed by Hunt and limited to a strict 250 worldwide.
As well as a copy of the regular CD and digital download coupon, each of the first ten CDs will have two extra mixes, one exclusive to this first edition, the other completely unique to each separate disc and unavailable anywhere else.
Only available in these sets will also be a Josephine commemorative apron, appropriate for ironmongery or barwench duties.
These editions will be sent out in a special envelope to protect the contents.
A second edition of 20 will be made available after these are gone which contain the regular CD and A3 prints and a free digital download.
This edition will be priced at £20.
The CD, priced at a spritely five pounds, is dressed in a beautiful card gatefold sleeve, has two mini prints stashed within and will be available on its own in a limited edition of 200.
There will be an option to buy a set of the four prints for £15 and we’ll chuck in a free digital download card.
The tracks will also be available to download for £2 as an album or individually for 79p.
